GREY HIGHLANDS FARM HOUSE NEW ROOFING | JCB and SONS

roofing

This house had a few issues: 1) There was a huge icing build up every winter (which shortened the lifespan of the shingles) 2) There was poor ventilation (which shortened the lifespan of the shingles) 3) When the roof was last re-shingled they went right over the old cedar shingles (which also shortened the lifespan of the shingles) and last 4) The shingles were in really rough shape (They were 12 year old shingles which should have lasted approximately 25 years).

The solution: 1) The JCB & Son's crew stripped the roof down to it's original barn boards 2) They then strapped the roof out and re-sheeted it (This allowed proper ventilation similar to moore vents to prevent winter icing) 3) They last ice and watered the entire roof and re-shingled.
