Framing a 24’ x 36’ Garage on Frost Walls – West Grey Builder
Framing is underway for this new 24’ x 36’ garage build in West Grey. As the builder and general contractor, JCB & SONS managed layout, framing, and roof structure. The garage was built on 4-foot frost walls with a concrete slab poured afterward—an approach that adds long-term durability and frost protection for Ontario’s climate. Once the walls were framed and trusses set, we sheeted the roof and prepared the structure for siding and finishes.
We provide garage construction, renovations, and licensed carpentry services throughout West Grey, Hanover, and surrounding rural communities. Whether it’s structural framing, exterior upgrades, or custom home improvements, JCB & SONS delivers quality craftsmanship built to last.
We installed
on the foundation wall to make the exterior
continuous with the interior vapour barrier. We also installed
under all the bottom plates of the wall on top of our foundation walls.
Gabriel likes to stop in after school and practice his hammering. This is how we all started!!
Nailing off the top plate.
The 7/16"
sheathing is going on the walls in this photo and all the blocking has been installed.
Can't wait to get some trusses on our project this week.
