Honey Shed Addition in Southgate – Custom-Built for Extraction and Beekeeping
We kicked off a custom shed addition this fall for a beekeeper located between Holstein and Mount Forest, just south of Durham. The structure ties into an existing pole shed already on the property, originally built by the client’s grandfather and used over the years for storage and utility.
As general contractor and builder, we handled the full scope—from layout to framing—for this new-build garage-style shed. Designed with flexibility in mind, the addition will serve as a future honey extraction space but could also function as a workshop or storage shed. It’s a practical rural build that combines modern durability with an existing agricultural structure.
The new addition walls are all ready for trusses.
The new engineered trusses are installed and we have begun tying the sheathing into the original building.
