Owen Sound ceramic tile and painting - Phase 2 | JCB and Sons
JCB & Sons installed some beautiful 18'' ceramic tile in Balmy Beach, Owen Sound. Here Christian Bender is mortaring in the tile. If you scroll down you can see the demolition process of the old floor (Phase 1). The crew then installed a new subfloor of plywood on top of the existing floor.
The new layer of plywood was to provide a solid base for the ceramic floor. It was screwed every 3" to eliminate any movement beneath the ceramic. After the installation the trims were re-installed with a fresh coat of paint!

This home was built in the summer of 2006, located between Durham and Priceville in West Grey, Ontario. The homeowner acted as their own general contractor, and JCB & Sons was hired to complete the full structural framing. It was the company’s first major new build project under the leadership of Christian Bender, marking a pivotal milestone in the next generation of the family business.

JCB & Sons recently did a demolition job which included removing old ceramic tile from a lake house up in Balmy Beach. They installed beautiful new 18 inch ceramic tile throughout the entire entrance. The pictures for the full renovation will be up soon for viewing.
