Steel Siding Installation – Commercial Project in West Grey

JCB & SONS completed a steel siding installation on an investment property in West Grey. The project involved finishing the building exterior with vertical steel panels—chosen for their durability, clean appearance, and low maintenance. Here is a photo the our new scaffolding set up and ready to start installing the

new steel trims. We actually ended up shimming this West wall out 6" in places

to make it plumb and straight for the new siding.

The South wall is ready for windows and trims. The Patio Door on the right

side of the South wall will be being removed and a window will be installed

there too.

We install the new Strassburger windows on the North Wall. It's now ready for trims and siding.

As part of a larger home improvement project in Priceville, Ontario, JCB & SONS built this traditional cedar rail fence using heritage-style techniques and locally sourced cedar. The fence adds a rustic, timeless boundary to the rural property—designed to blend naturally with the surrounding landscape. Though we’re not fence contractors, we approach every detail with care and craftsmanship, especially when it’s part of a bigger vision for the home or land.

Roof Raise & Second-Floor Loft – West Grey Renovation

This home renovation just outside Durham in West Grey involved replacing the original roof with a new hip-style 6/12 pitch framed from 2x12 rafters. JCB & SONS served as builder and general contractor, raising the roof to create a full second-floor loft above the garage—complete with an 8-foot dormer overlooking the water. The updated roofline brought a cleaner, more modern profile to the home while improving structural strength and making better use of the space. Additional upgrades included new windows, siding, and a redesigned front entrance.
